After yet another great display from the big Geordie is anyone capable of opening their minds up a little bit and admitting they were too harsh on him?

was thinking about that today rosco.he has def improved and i admit there could be a great keeper in the making.not gonna admit to being to harsh on him cos at the time he was rank.has to get more commanding and stop being to nice.needs to get in peoples faces, both teammates and opponents.well done lurch

Two good games does not make a great keeper , but he is more than welcome to keep performing and prove me wrong

After reading that I thought "Well done, SD - some sense!" thinking you were going to credit him for other good performances - obviously not though.

An example of the unfair treatment he gets was at yesterdays game. He made a dodgy kick out and people went absolutely fucking bananas calling him all the ****s under the sun. However, he made 2 or 3 really amazing saves and was given a few reasonable shouts of encouragement. The big guy gets a brutal treatment from a disapointingly large amount of our support.

Sorry rosco i know the guy's improving and all but he's got a long way to go. He saved the peno last weekend but if he'd cleared the initial ball properly there would have been no penalty. Instead he flapped at it and it bounced off wanyama's arm/some jambo's head.

Dont get me wrong he had a cracker last night. But for a guy of his stature he just doesn't command his box enough. He doesn't make me feel confident when he is in goals. His kicking can be fucking awful at times.

But like whats already been said hopefully he continues with these kind of performances and proves me wrong.

I seem to remember, before he went away we were all singing his praises and disappointed he left. He could be good I think but he needs a decent couple of CBs in front of him, juts to get his confidence back.

i'm sure there was a game recently he made a good couple of saves , but i'm getting old and senile and canny mind which game ????? A.Madrid Maybe ? fuck knows , but i'm sure there was one
