So much for the Evening Times story about Rangers signing Nigel Quashie, he's just signed for West Ham for ?1.5M.

We can always hope Personally, if that Stokes is going to choose Charlton or Sunderland over Celtic then that shows his ambition and I'll be glad we never got him. Hopefully at least one of Brown or Thompson signs, preferably Brown.

Stokes dad has said the doors still open at Celtic, he's not signed for Sunderland yet, and if Celtic pay him what he's asking for it's a done deal. The wee guy's deluded. Also Scott Brown has declared Celtic to be his preferred destination in an interview he also said Thompson wouldn't even consider a move to Rangers, so it looks like we are fav to sign the Hibs duo.

That's fantastic news, the news would be even better if the board acted on this and got those two sorted out in the Hoops. Seen it in the paper that Stokes was heartbroken that Celtic didnt offer enough money, but then again...that's paper talk.

Celtic would have made him the highest earning teenager in Scottish football, how much money does the guy need. The mega money could come in three years time when he's 21 and due a renewal or get his move to the premiership. I hope Celtic stick to their guns here and don't increase the offer. AS for Brown and Thompson, we have a combined offer of ?4M on the table as we speak.

I'm impressed that Celtic have swooped in for Thompson and Brown, and also hope that they wont be budged on the Stokes area. He's an 18 year old boy, he shouldn't be moaning about getting paid less than ?10,000 a week. He should be wanting to go to a club as big as Celtic, and get his head down and show us what he can do. Then, once he's done that, and earned it, should he be wondering where his big wage is.
