Thread: Cup Final Tickets on Ebay

I thought Ebay stopped tickets being touted on Ebay but if you look on there now there are both Celtic and Rankers end ones for sale.

Its illegal to sell football tickets above face value i believe.

How much are they going for anyway?

Surely it couldn't be illegal if you were just selling it outside the ground above face value, it's your ticket, surely you can do as you please with regards to how much it goes for?

Hate ticket touts, face value + a few thank you pints is the only way forward.

aye i've noticed this......think there were a few going for over £300......thats crazy money when i got mine for £25! It's probably going to be a shite game, whoever the fuck would pay 300+ for that must be an idiot.

No - its definately illegal.

It is already illegal to resell tickets for football matches. Although the law initially came about to control football violence, it has also meant that touting has been stopped.

I thought the value of the ticket had something to do with it but apparently not. They might not stop you doing it in the street buy Ebay arent allowed to.

I knew Ebay wern't allowed to, news to me that it's illegal altogether.

Lets be honest though, anyone who pays over £200 for the ticket is a mug. Purely because there were tickets on the official sites for the fancy seats going for less than that a pop.

Ticket touts?
Seville cup final, 5 of us desperate for tickets and we had been there for four days asking every **** and had no luck, we bumbed into this guy at the big square who said he could get us any number and was selling them for 500 each.
Thought it was arip off but went with him to a college where he taught english to spanish kids, he opened his locker and had dozens of tickets.
We took five together and made him jump in a taxi to the stadium where we got the security to check them then paid him.
He was the head/ secretary of the Seville/ Andalucia ? celtic supports club and had applied for all these tickets and got them and was selling them to celtic fans for 500 each when the face price was only about 20 odd euros.

I know, as blatant a scam as you're ever going to get one. However, as it's a UEFA Cup Final and a most likely 1 off most people wouldn't have been completely outraged and against paying it.

Don't get me wrong, still a kick in the teeth though.

once you were there you would have paid the money to any **** for them and when you consider the money we all waste on other shite worth every penny, but it stunk that he was registred as an official celtic supporters club and was screwing the fans because of his position, i had his name at the time coz every **** knew him and it even had his name on his locker so i was determined to notify celtic when we got back but never bothered.
