Thread: Samaras

I've been thinking about this lately and i'm stumped. Just what is it with this guy?? He's proved in two different seasons that he has goals in him ffs. I think he got about 9 goals from jan - may last season. And 12 on the run up to christmas before he got injured. Why hasn't it happened as late for him?? He's proved twice that he can do it, and in some games he shows glimpses of skill and that he is a good player. Is it that he's trying to find his feet after injury, or has he lost his spark to play for the club??

He's a shadow of the player he can be. Just looked back to this article I wrote when he was on a great run of form.

I don't know what's up with Samaras these days, he doesn't look happy....he doens't really celebrate his goals at all........it's kinda strange.

Possibly showing why he couldn't cut it in the EPL. When he's good, he's very good. When he's bad I don't think he'd look out of place playing for Kilmarnock.

Typical strikers disease, only cure would be a goal or two on sunday then he'll be back on track

Hope he does not play in the hoops ever again. He is pish, end of story. Anyone could come in to Celtic and score goals, with the chances our midfeild create and the possession we usually have. If he starts a game - Celtic play shit, he cannot link up, pass, head or finish.
Give Hutchinson a run out rather than him, or if Hutchinson or Jan are not availible - then I'd even play a 4 5 1, just to make sure Samaras is out our team.
