Post Bosses explain Scots summer blues

Tony Mowbray and Craig Levein do not think summer football would have prevented bruising defeats for Scottish teams in Europe.

Was there not a slight break back in MON’s first season during the winter period...?

I don’t think summer football is a realistic option… what happens every 2 years when there is an international tournament taking place?

Although given the shite we continue to sign we wouldn't have many players involved so it’s not going to make much of a difference anyway…

All the time? I think not.

Players only go on International duty when there has been a break in the club football calendar, about 4-6 times a season at most.

    Boruc (Poland)
    S Brown (Scotland)
    Maloney (Scotland)
    Caldwell (Scotland)
    McGeady (Ireland)
    Skippy (Australia)
    Samantha (Greece)
    Killen (NZ)

Just a list of players who have been away on International duty in recent times…

If those countries were to make it into the World Cup we would be without these players for a whole month.

    Aye good thinking…

And can you answr the question about the Russian teams ALSO playing in the world cup and euro champs?

If they can play during the summer and also compete in international comps, then why cant scotland?

Disagree with Levein. I feel a bit of match fitness, and being more sharp and well formed together and we would have taken Dinamo easily.

Fuck knows about the other teams though, couldn't care less.
