    Received 1 thank(s)
I stopped paying for friendlies years ago.

The Jackie Macnamara one was the final straw for me.

Sunderland hardly falls in to the "glamorous" category and i can understand the vast empty spaces at Celtic Park today. Money`s tight and people must be economise to suit their personal circumstances. A tenner a head probably would have been the correct call today - and reaped in more revenue. On the playing side, we again basically fielded a reserve team to start and the euphoria of the Spurs result with, again, a second string, seemed adistant memory. Few exactly knocking down the manager`s door demanding a starting slot in Moscow. It will be as we were in the first leg but with Fox in at left back and i suspect Mogga has a decision to make in midfield. N`Guemo will start but Donati may have competition from Crosas to partner him. It would be a huge mistake to throw Brown in as he is clearly not match-fit. Samaras may think he merits a place up front but i don`t see it happening.

I dont think it had anything to do with money that the ground was empty today as It was on the season ticket it was just that freindlies are shite and this one proved my point again.

i didn`t realise this was the "freebie". Shocking attendance if that is the case. Having said that, travel, food, few pints etc. all add up and it`s only 3 days after the Moscow game.
