    Europa League

Guys correct me if I'm wrong but the new Europa League format is the exact same as the Champions League ie groups of 4 each playing home and away top 2 progressing. I've just read the Uefa website and its got full media rights just like the CL, full sponsorship just like the CL so surely we're not gonna lose that much money compared to if we had qualified for the CL. Add in the revenue generated by the Arsenal games and I reckon we'll probably not be far from the 10M we would've made, especially if you add in the fact that we might/should be able to qualify in the top 2 and get into the last 32 and maybe last 16.

All in all losing to Arsenal is not that bleak, we held our own for 45 mins against the hardest team by far that we'll face this season. Oh yeah and Villa are in the Europa League would love to see MON back at Paradise!!!

As I said correct me if I'm wrong

Can't say I've ever looked into what happens in the Europa League so you're probably spot on with the format but I doubt we will get anywhere close to the money we would have got from the champ league

enjoy crashing and burning in the CL and not having a chance at winning the premiership.

as heard from the crowd last night:
"fuck all.........you're gonnae win fuck all....you always win fuck all."

Obviously disapointed not to be in amongst Europe's elite but I feel a year with Mowbray in the Europa League could do us well. Find a formation that suits us best at home and away in Europe. Should be able to get a good wee run in it as well IMO.

Also, it's good for us fans because we might get a trip to somewhere outwith Milan, Barcelona, Manchester or Lisbon!

That's what I was thinking. A team like Sofia would make out to be a cheap week with cheap booze

We certainly wont lose out as much as we would have had it still been the uefa cup parachute. Will be ashame to miss out on more glorious champions league evenings this year but i feel this europa league could be good for us this year to find our feet and then of course we will be straight in champions league next year when we win the title unless of course one of the major teams dont win it.....
