    New Scouting Regions

I dunno wat the current standard of our scouting is or wherre they go, but from lookin the EPL, it has to worth sending sum1 to south america...not to the obvious like brazil, argentina, but to obscure countries like venezuela, bolivia..even go up to central america- look at honduras who qualified for the world cup... take a note from wigans an steve bruce.... He's signed countless players for a pittance from de region who proved they cud cut it at that level... look at valencia an palacios... even de wigan team now...figuroa, thomas, diame(from french lower league)...de two latter boys put in a great shift in de middle of de park..an can play some ball too...also rodallega looks a crackin player who can really bully centre halfs, tho he did cost a few bob, mind you not much more than fortune..

surely its worth lookin into, coz it seems to be a great soure for players...steve bruce managed to do a great job wit birmingham an wigan on a shoe string budget...tho he had the EPL money, his budget wasnt huge...an the majority of his signings came from south an central america

He brought that amir Zhaki guy over from Egypt aswell. Good player.

It is definetly worth a look and even having people out there reguarly scouting young talent. It has to be the way forward, find the players with potential who could go places, let them flourish but ultimatly sell them on for big bucks.

We would be criticised for not looking closer to home but who cares our brand of football is awful.

It's been said for years now that we need to get a proper, competent foreign scouting network put into place. All our scouts must have Hibs season books.

I think it`s got to do with trying to attain work permits.Countries like Portugal can plunder the vast South American market at will and with great success and at relatively low cost. We can`t as they must more or less be established internationals, or on the verge of being so, to attain work permits. British red-tape is the problem. British government legislation, designed to tighten immigration procedures, is the real problem when dealing outwith The E.U.
