its obvious the team has gone backwards, if that was possible, and considering the level of budget available for new players we will be looking at a couple of 1 or 2 million pound players and a few freedom of contracts.
You have to ask can Mowbary turn it around, can he add 4 or 5 low cost players to the teams he is putting out just now and produce a decent attractive team.
I really dont think so, and as for the arguement that Fortune is fundamental to his ¨style¨ and formation, what if he gets injured again, do we just plod away hoping for something to happen each time we take to the park?
Is there a plan B. or is there any plan at all, its like watching kids in the school playground all chasing the one ball and just running back and forth up and down the pitch.
Its too easy to blame Strachan, its Mowbary picking the team, selecting the tactics, making the substitutions and its him and only him responsible for what happens on the park.
Strachan was crucified for better displays and even now is getting blamed for Mowbary´s bad selections and non existing tactics.
The squad is short of quality, no doubt, but any manager in Scotland would swap squads with us tomorrow, we threw away the spl and season and should have won with the players we had, Mowbary has added four players to it and it has still went backwards.
