He should forget about slagging off the huns and just get the finger oot and dae some work. f*cking chocolate teapot that he is.
The way they're running the club at the moment, they'll be going back deeper into the red very soon I'd imagine.
That man worries me. Have never felt comfortable with him being in such a position within CFC.
Same shite, different AGM. Bad enough having a WCC (War Criminal Chairman - or Wee Cocky **** if you prefer) spouting about imminent dangers financially given his track record on imminent danger. WMDs anyone? - Weapons of Mass Destruction or We Must Downsize, in Celtic terms. Well done on the finances John. We`re secure but we`re shite. Enjoy the dwindling attendances and increasing apathy amongst the faithful. Your point that O`Neill spent 35 million followed by spending of 34 million by his predecessor is well made and valid - we`ve been making it for quite some time. Now compare O`Neill`s team with Strachan`s and your folly may become apparent. Oh, and O`Neill had saleable assets to speak your lingo e.g. Petrov. If the constant thinly veiled references to The Huns` current plight were designed to console us then it didn`t work. They are currently playing in The CL, can still do a domestic treble and beat us in our last encounter. Just a thought, but i would venture to suggest that if a knight in shining armour arrives to rescue them and proceeds to loosen the purse strings having cleared their debt, then suddenly new monies would magically appear at Celtic Park. Nobody`s asking you to put our beloved club in jeopardy. We are asking you, the custodians of our great club, to treat us with the respect we deserve and not to insult our intelligence.
"its the board , not the bank that decides what players to buy and sell"
Anyone else notice thebasic flaw/giveaway here... no mention of it being the managers job.
Lets be honest tho, no danger of anyone who knows anything about signing any of that lot.
Yes. The fans are downsizing too.We Must Downsize.
The notion that the global economic meltdown has somehow bypassed the average "man on the street" and that he/she should continue to contribute to the already over-inflated income of footballers and club directors is fcuking ludicrous.
Thats why the seats are empty. A season book doesn't cover travel and subsistence, and TV money is unlikely to be forthcoming when the best performers on the pitch (by a country mile) are the groundsmen. But it's not an act of character, courage or leadership to get into debt - it's an act of moral cowardice.![]()
