I think we're in danger of losing track of what's important as far as the signing of Keane and Stokes is concerned.

In fairness Mulgrew's situation is non comparable to Stokes'. I would tend to agree with your general point though.

He doesn't just bring goals and flair he would bring a feel good factor and give the whole place a massive lift. As far as i'm concerned he could play at high level up her for the next 5 years so it would be money well spent.

We need a talisman and he is a much better option than Bellamy whos name has been banded about.

Still don't think we'll get him but if we did I would be ecstatic.

As for Stokes, I think he would be in a worse off position if he signed for Celtic back then. He went to Sunderland with Roy Keane and it didn't work out so he's took a step backwards in going to Hibs but I definetly would mind seeing him sign if the price is right.

Our board don't sign 8m player, then there is the matter of his wages

won't happen, plus i still think he'd rather play in the EPL, he can now tell his kids he played for celtic thats prolly enough for him as his missus says he's ticked that box

£8million is a lot of money to us. In fact, £8million is probably more than our transfer budget is going to be. To sign him we're going to have to leave the rest of our team and I really dont think that's worth it. £5million maximum for me, which I still don't think we'll do.

as i have said a few times before about us paying that sort of money do a deal with spurs that u pay it over 2/3 yrs,,,,
