RB, do your job and get these Hooper threads merged!

Anyone any idea what the Scunny fans think of this possible move?

    off a Scunny messegeboard:

    Academy

Very sad to see him go but £2.4m is a lot of money for a club our size. Let's hope the money is used to uncover another gem.

Cheers Gary, 50 goals in 95 games is brilliant, all the best! [/B]
Even if some of the fee is dependent on Hooper's performance, I think he'll do well up there. The Premier League was maybe too much of a step up for him. This is a sort of halfway house. Some of the Scottish defences he'll be up against are dodgier than ours!
It may be good money but I think we should of had him for another season.

it's not much but its all I can find just now............

Sounds promising I'd say. Lets hope it's not like the Danny Fox situation.

    some more s****horpe fans

If he does make it at Celtic then I honestly believe that our club have done one helluva job for the young man.

To take him from being a fringe player at Southend and put him straight into a front two pairing that was the scourge of defences for two seasons running. To give him experience of two Wembley finals including a play-off win and to finish with 50 goals in 95 games. A full season's experience in the Championship playing against sides like NewcastIe, West Brom, Cardiff and Middlesbrough. I know I'm biased but I don't think anyone other than The Iron could have done that for him under the circimstances.

Good luck to the lad and well done Scunny. Are you watching out there all you would be starlets?

Hooper didnt like the amount of press he got while with us, he will hate the amount hes about to get now

Hope we've got a 20% sell on clause too.
If he does well then who knows what he could go for; especially if he/Celtic do something half decent in Europe.

I'm not saying this boy is pish before people start jumping on me. I'm asking a genuine question as nobody springs to mind for me.
