Thread: Celtic vs Braga

Celtics european adventure gets underway and with tricky opposition against Braga.

So a thought lets get thread going of what should lennon do what team should go out and what you think the score over the 2 legs will be.

For me i would go 4-5-1 because braga are a very attacking side we would want to go back to parkhead with something to play for.

The official start to the season is upon us again, and to tell you the truth..I'm quite nervous.Because I believe Its so important for us to get that horrible season we had to endure out of our systems forever.

Its a fresh start, with fresh faces, and if thers a man who can instill in them what we as a club, and a people are about....LENNY CAN!

I've been nothing but impressed by the way lenny has handled his business in the transfer market so far, acting fast and taking immediate action in his quest to mend our shaken club..

SO LETS GET BEHIND THE BHOYS AND MAKE SEASON 2010 - 2011 A GOOD ONE, AND SALVAGE OUR TITLE BACK FROM THE DARKSIDE.AND PLACE IT WHERE IT BELONGS IN .....PARADICE

I'll admit to knowing next to nothing about this team except their defensive record is very good and they won plenty of league games last year 1-0.

I'd be playing a 4-5-1 - won't name players as I don't know the full fitness of the squad. Losing 1-0 wouldn't be a terrible result.

Definitly nervous about this 1 but agree with rosco as long as we dont get pumped over there we have a great chance of beating them at cp im gona say 2-1 celtic over the 2 legs MON THE HOOPS!!

i'd take 1-0 or 1-1.
saw jorge cadette talking braga up in the paper today, hopefully he's as clueless as ever.

I understand theres a nice element of enthusiasm within our support - but what makes people think we will brush by them at CP? I've heard a few people say "aye, we'll see how we do over there but we'll skelp them at CP" Aye right, we pretty much have a new team with new management playing against a team we know nothing about. Its not as if we "skelped" the Rusians in the qualifiers last year when we were in the same position..we got BEAT at CP infact (granted we went through).

I'm not confident about either tie - that said...Braga was probably the best draw we could have got from the qualifier.

Also, It is my understanding that if we go out in this round then we are out of europe completely. ie. No Europa safety net. Is this true?
