Thread: Celtic track Manchester City trio

Celtic are planning loan moves for Manchester City’s Shay Given, Craig Bellamy and Vladimir Weiss, according to reports.

Given cut a frustrated figure on the City bench for the game against Tottenham, as England number one Joe Hart performed heroics to keep his club in the game.

The Donegal man had previously stated that, if Joe Hart was picked ahead of him, he would request a move away from Eastlands.

Both Fulham and Celtic are said to be considering moves for 34-year-old, who was a youth player for Celtic between 1991 and 1994.

Craig Bellamy has made no secret of his desire to move away from Eastlands, and play regular first team football. He has confirmed that he would like to move to Celtic, though Fulham are also said to be interested.

Celtic could end up with three Manchester City players on loan, as a deal for 20-year-old Slovakian international Vladimir Weiss is said to be close to completion.

Dnt know much about Weiss but bellamy and given would be amazing!

Cause i just feel that theres all ready goals in our team but haveing a world class keeper like given would help us from leaking a few goals ano the defence doesnt help but a think a would feel more confident if we had some1 like him in goals.

Im with you here Aiden We need a goalkeeper 1st .............Would love Bellamy too though

Ye me 2 but a just think if we can only have 1 then i would want him.

all three would be good to get in we all know what given and bellamy would do for us and weiss done well last season on loan at bolton and had a pretty solid world cup tae

according to the BBC, Given is in talks with arsenal so doubt our chances there. would defo rather have bellamy but right now its no looking too good.

According to a few media outlets.....Weiss will be signing for Rangers instead.
