He was in charge of my first ever Celtic game v Raith Rovers - we won 4-1. I'll never forget that or him.

The man bled green and white and really helped pull the club out of the doldrums in the mid-90s.

A true Celtic great, and a legend.

R.i.p

As a Rangers man, I have to say it's terrible news. Tommy Burns was a true gentleman who I met on a few occasions. Not just the Celtic support, but the supporters of every club in Scotland will feel this loss.

Tommy Burns

I just want to express my heartfelt sympathy to the family of Tommy Burns and say that he will be sadly missed in football and as a true gentleman in Scotland.

Tommy burns had a passion and vision for how Scottish football should be.

This is a time for all fans to unite to show their support regarding this sad news and hopefully do Scottish football proud by doing so.

Claire

My heart is so heavy that I read those words. A man is more than just a man if he makes a life like Tommy Burns.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.

Antonio

A terrible shame. At such a young age as well.
