Marc Crosas appeared on the park Sunday lunch time to a great reception. Yes Celtic had indeed snapped up the young midfielder who came through the youth ranks at Barcelona.

BUT....Some members of the press and Celtic fans seem to be welcoming his arrival in the East End of Glasgow like it was the second coming, Why? Most people in Scotland hadn't heard of this guy before untill he was on the verge of signing for Celtic. I remember Massimo Donati getting similar treatment. Yes this guy has came from one of the best youth setups in the world and hes grew up with guys like Fabregas and Messi. Is this really reason for celebration?

This guy has everything to prove, he said it himself. He has had very limited first team experience. He went on Loan to Lyon for 6 months at the end of last season. He only played around 6 games for them.

Gordon Strachan has had to come out to relieve some of the pressure that is now on the bhoy "What we have to watch is that the poor lad does not get too much placed on him. He is a kid. Coming from Spain to Scotland is heck of a cultural jump when you are that age. A heck of a jump".

So let the bhoy settle in and don't get caught up in the hype that surrounds him. He could be a great player, he could just be a good player. Lets just wait to see what he can do.

In the mean time Celtic maybe starting to think they really don't need to invest in the team this season after seeing whats going on over at Ibrox. This will not fly with the Celtic faithful and there should be new recruits as soon as possible. But thats another Newsnow story.

he's hardly going to walk into the first team.

I'm getting sick of saying it but i think its a great piece of biz by celtic

Don't think anyone is getting carried away, any new signing would of got the same reception at CP on Sun

Seen enough of him in the Barca friendlies to convince me he'll do a real turn for us given the chance. I just hope he's pulling Donati aside and showing him how to pass a ball.

Relax!!! You are starting to do exactly what the media want us to do. We will bring in who we need. We won't run short on talent or skill.
