Your ideal Celtic foward line would be?

It’s been far too long since the last poll on the Celtic Forum and giving the performance of one Shaun Maloney and Big Sammy on the weekend leaves everyone with the dilemma of who they want to see banging in the goals this season for Celtic's four in a row bid.

You need to pretend we have a fully fit squad to play this game. Killeen, Hutchinson and Riordan have been left out of the equation but feel free to argue their case if you want.

Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink

Joined the club in 2006, he has made 76 appearances for Celtic scoring 38 times. He has proven himself to be a match winner time and time again since he signed. He has played for Holland 19 times and bagged 3 goals.

Scott McDonald

Aussie International Skippy hammered in the goals last season, with 25 league goals last season and 31 in all comps from 48 games. he was the SPL top scorer. Gordon Strachan must of been impressed as Skippy now wears the famous No.7 jersey.

Giorgio Samaras

The big Greek Striker came in on loan to Celtic and was an instant hit scoring on his debut. He starred last season mostly coming off the bench, managed 16 appearances and scoring 5 goals. Samaras made his first start to the new season against Falkirk on Saturday to bag a brace.

Shaun Maloney

No need to go into all the details, we all know the Shaun story, all we need to consider here is that Maloney came on as a sub for Jan on Saturday and put a buzz back around the club. Maloney may never be used as an out and out striker but he can be just as lethal playing behind a frontman. (or maybe two)

That’s it cast your votes, I’ll be ringing Gord Saturday at midnight to let him know who to pick (i know about the injuries)

Ma pair!!!

Mcdonald has to start 4 me whenever available. Big jan is a proven goal scorer wherever he's played his football but think its time 4 a wee change. Sammy reminds me of berbatov (obviously not as good) with his back to goal and hold up of the ball. Then there's maloney an think everyone was impressed with him against falkirk, thoroughly entertaining with excellent end product.

I'd go wi sammy an macdonald but maloney has to play somewhere for me lol!!!
Good one dubs... Am puzzled lol!!!

I haven't voted yet cos i can't make up me mind. Would only be made easier if Maloney was playing behind a front two. Then i'd go with Sammy and skippy. I think big Jan is the man to be coming off the bench, he doesn't have the legs for 90 mins and is prolly the slowest out of the four.

Pace was the seceret on saturday and that pace only came when Jan went off, although he does have a nack at getting big goals at the right time.

tbh.still think we need a top quality striker.agree that pace, especially against the likes of david weir is vital.i have went for sammy and maloney because of this.although i dont think JVOH is the hardest guy to play against he makes life awkward for defenders and knows how to win a foul or two.mcdonalds injury might have been caused by carrying a bit too much weight.dont overdo it during the lay off skippy.

so lets hope we run the arse of the bastards.go on sammy and sean

Skippy and Sammy for me. Pace and clinical finishing. With Aiden, Maloney, and Naka behind I can see a lot of goals from those two. I think someone's messing with the poll though. So far pretty well everyone has said the same pairing as me and it's only at 9%???
