Rangers have the edge

In case you forgot….

There’s a small matter of an Old Firm game

You would be forgiven if you have been caught up on European matters over the last 24 hours. The romance of the Champions League swept us all away as we were drawn against some great sides.

BUT, now it is time to get back down to business. Our oldest rivals have not experienced the euphoria of the thought of playing Europes finest. They have had one thought, to come to Celtic Park and try and wrestle 3 points from the champions.

Will we let them? Have they found a silver lining in that green and yellow cloud that FC Kaunus so embarrassingly put over the Ibrox club less than a month ago?

Will Celtic players be truly focused on the task at hand or will they be dreaming of an Old Trafford showdown that is yet to come?

I can’t answer these questions, only Celtic can. When they walk onto that pitch on Sunday they have to be ready for Rangers. That’s the managers job, Gordon Strachan will be preparing these bhoys the best he can. Although the weeman is going into uncharted territory as he is up against the same Rangers manager that started the previous campaign, which is a first for the Celtic boss. After seeing Big Eck and Agent LeGuen off it is only a matter of time before Gordon sends Watty packing.

Whatever happens on Sunday it is sure to be interesting. The only thing certain is that Artur Boruc will bless himself in front of the Rangers fans, and that alone is worth the admission fee.

TBH I'd definately say the pressure is on the huns. They've no European football to speak off and if they fall 3 points behind us after 4 league games...

Dont think the CL draw will distract the players too much. TBH they should be used to dealing with things like that by now and the first OF game of the season is bound to have their full attention.

IMO Celtic have a slight edge in this one. We won last week, were at home and we should have plenty of pace in the side. I can only see 1 outcome for this match, a Celtic victory.
