Some say that Paul Le Guen’s dropping of captain fantastic was what finally got him turfed out the door at Ibrox. Back then his actions caused outrage. How could he possibly drop the heart and soul of rangers? How could he drop the man that was the epitome of what rangers were all about? How on earth could he drop the biggest blue nose rangers have had for the last decade?
Well its nearly two years on and I can’t help but laugh at some of the stuff I’ve been reading on the orc forums. Le Guen Dropped Ferguson on the 1st of January 2007 and Bassa didn’t even make the squad. By the 4th of January Le Guen had left Ibrox by “mutual consent”
Now we have a situation were the majority of the grazed knuckles mob want to know why Walter smith has not got the bottle to drop Bassa from the team, get the captains arm band off him or better yet sell him down the road and get shut. The best part is that SIR (I can call him Sir now) David Murray has promised a load of greeting knuckle draggers that not only will he not sell Bassa but that he will do everything in his dwindling power to renew his contract.
There is nothing like a good bit of irony to start a new year and by the looks of the rumours and transfer window it’s going to be a good one for Celtic.
