Recall the Hampden Hero! Is Gordon Bold Enough?

As this Sunday draws nearer I am getting more and more anxious about a particular position in the team.

    No, it's not the strikers.

It is the position Mark Wilson, Paul Hartley, Barry Robson and now Darren O'dea have found themselves in, due to an inconsistent and injury prone Lee Naylor. O'dea has looked unsuprisingly uncomfortable in his new position and does not have the pace to keep up with an energetic winger.

This is why I feel they should bring back the out of favour Doumbe for the final on Sunday. The guy has played in a Cup Final for Celtic, he even scored the winning goal in it.

So why not?and I am genuinely asking why not? I thought he had been let go, then was told otherwise, so I thought he must be injured, but no. He is sitting in the reserves doing nothing when we are crying out for some stability in that part of the pitch.

Is there a valid reason for this?

or is GS just not playing him?

You cannot expect a guy who has not played a first team game in over a year to come into a final against Rankers, O'Dea may e playing out off position but he is the best answer at the moment until we finaly get a proper left back.

Remember that you are a Celtic fan and consequently you have won first prize in the lottery of life.

Still don't really know what he did wrong tbf. Thought he was having probably his best games in the Hoops against AC when his leg exploded. But I for one wouldn't be pitching him in against the Huns...but nor would I be playing O'Dea at LB. The guy's a centre half and gets a nosebleed every time he gets near the half way line.
