This has been on the cards for ages. Anyone who couldn’t see us just didn’t want to.
An arrogant, spiteful and clueless individual who is responsible for a decline in standards of our great club over the last 4 seasons. We are up against the weakest Rangers side in decades and yet we trail the filth by 2 points. I will actually consider this one of the most embarrassing moments in our history if he lose the league to this bankrupt pile of pish. They are nothing more than an average SPL side… losing the league to them would be like pipped to the post by Falkirk.
Strachan has been fortunate during his tenture at the club. Please do not come on and defend him, open your eyes to the debacle that he has created. He has had 3 league championships handed to him, had never been tested and was never the right man for the job. Oh whats that I hear from the deluded Strachanites… the last 16 twice, something MON never did!? Oh wake up and get a grip… Alex McLeish took a miserable bunch of apes to the last 16 with 7 points… the very same season they did the impossible and finished 3rd in our two horse race!
But let’s get back to what happened today!
Why was Maloney playing today? A player who has not kicked a ball in earnest in 6 months, thrown into biggest game of the season. To put him in for McGeady, the one player, like him or not, who is capable of a talent of spark, just compounds the matter. And the fact that it was Maloney who failed to track back with Davis for the goal?? Well, enough said.
Making big Jan skipper was a "get it up ye" to all the people (the fans) who feel that big Jan does nothing during a game bar foul the opposition and be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Which is what he did today, bar a decent header in the first half. Skippy was practically a lone striker today. Hesselink is a lump of dead wood.
In the midfield, as much as I like Hartley and Crosas, they are too similar in that they are holding players. We were screaming out for a Robson like player. Someone who could drive at the huns defence. Oh….Wait a minute, he was on the bench!! Seriously if he was fit enough to be on the bench, then he was fit enough to play. If Maloney got a game then why couldn’t Robson!? Remember the impact he had at the end of last season? (lets not forget Strachan was FORCED to play him last year)
Ultimately, Strachan is an arrogant, insidious individual whose attempts to justify his decision by indicating that supporters dont know what they are talking about is disgusting. To come out and say we were brilliant today (we werent) is taking the mickey.
How our team has plummeted in quality since this horrible little man has taken over.
I do not believe we now have the bottle to win the title and Rangers will go on to take it. Which is sickening given we have been 7 points clear TWICE! 5 points clear TWICE, and 3 points clear TWICE!
Do not point to the fact he has won the last 3 titles as anyone could have managed Celtic over the last 3 seasons. We have had virtually no competition.
The runners up in the SPL this year will not qualify for the Champions League because they will be up against the likes of Arsenal and top sides from Spain, Germany and Italy. Therefore he has also cost us a financial windfall that will probably go to the vermin. They will now recover financially, just as it looked as if they were on the ropes.
I honestly believe that we have had the weakest competition in the 4 years Strachan has been here. Compare to when MON took over and Rangers were in the ascendancy.
The title last year was Rangers to lose, and if they didnt have the run in the UEFA Cup, as we had in 03, then they would have won the title.
Our performances in the Champions League this season in particular have been woeful, in fact, the worst atmosphere I have ever witnessed at Parkhead on European nights.
As a manager, he is inept. What else can explain the handling of players such as Riordan and Balde, the imbalance of treatment of McGeady and Boruc and the shocking signings of players such as Gravesen, Donati, Killen and near miss of Du Wei.
As for Dundee Utd, I am more concerned that they wont actually do us a favour as they have been probably the most difficult side we have faced this season.
I hate being negative about our team but can anyone honestly say that they are looking forward to next season under his stewardship?
To say he is more successful than MON is a crass statement, MON laid the bedrock of success that WGS should have built on. He is not a better manager, that is a fact. MON's team would walk all over this side. Strachan has also been a more successful manager than the great TB but again nowhere near comes to level of football the great man had us playing.
His signings have been awful too. McCourt, McGinn, and numerous has beens, never was and never will be's. He hasnt made a penny on any of his signings - bar Petrov, who he didnt sign, An example is Naka who will go for free in the summer. Gravesen, Balde and probably Donati as well - all big earners that we should have maximised a profit on but havent or couldnt.
Strachan is not capable of buying a player though and that is the problem, I dont think Lawell now trusts him, frankly neither do I. Out of around 40 players coming into the club during his tenure, he has had 3 successes, Boruc, Skippy and Nakamura. Brown has had a decent season, but not the wonder that everyone says, he will need another better season to be a success. Other players such as McCourt, McGinn, Mizuno, Killen, Dublin!!, Telfer, Camara, Hutchison, Pennant, Du Wei, Keane,Donati, Jarosik have all been fairly poor to some degree or other.
There is no point in us saying "he has potential" when we are clearly needing the finished article now. He has also spent £30m on players, hardly loose change.
Strachan must go and he can take all those fuds who still support him aswell… please spare us your apologist happy clapping pish.
