This is a serious point.
I am not going to have a go at Mogga or even the crap WGS left him with.
To be honest these are two below average managers who by some freak twist of fate (ie the inept board in place at CP) that have been offered the opportunity to manage Celtic.
Anyone in their right mind would take the job, even if they know they cant cut it.
Look at WGS, got right lucky in the CL going through when previously the same points total had put us out. Argue it how you like, but thats the facts of the matter.
He has gone from being an utter pish manager to an utter pish manager who can claim to have taken Celtic to the last 16 of the CL, abeit lucky as can be, he can still say that, that again is a fact.
We now have Mogga who has us playing just as pish as ever, and more importantly losing games and points, and despite how attractive some of you may think the football is, we are losing games we should be winning easily, and guess what, football is about winning games and getting points, that again is the fact of the matter.
We have heard over the last few years how we are financially stable and wont get into debt etc etc, all very very sound business practices. I just wish they would research their managerial appointments with such vigour and perhaps show as much care and attention to the finer detaisl as they do with the bank balance.
In case the board hadnt noticed the terraces are becoming emptier and emptier every week, the season ticket waiting list is gone, all of which have an effect on revenue which of course will affect future transfer dealings.
The whole future of the club is at stake here and we need someone with some innovation to be in charge of football matters. More importantly, we need someone who the board themselves believe in and someone who can sign half decent players. Im not ecpecting Ronaldo to sign for the Hoops but take a look at the current squad and its obvious why the terraces are getting emptier.
Mogga put almost all his eggs in one basket with Fortune. I bet he regrets that now. The guy has shown nothing, even before he came to Celtic, to indicate that he is a striker.
So lets point the finger of blame at those who have been leading us this merry dance, the board.
They are guardians of our great club and at this moment in time they are shaming and embarrassing us. In all my 38 years supporting Celtic i have never known such apathy or read and heard so many people willing to accept defeat by lower teams.
I suspect the younger generation of fans now think that supporting Celtic is all about accepting defeat when it happens, thats how the so called smaller teams used to react when they played us, now its being turned round on us.
I have read so many answers to posts like this as "what happened to faithful through and through?"
I answer with some questions:
What happened to Glasgow Celtic, the club i love and grew up with?
What happened to expecting to win every game?
What happened to ambition?
One more thing..
Please define "The Celtic Way", as i seem to have forgotten what it looks like.
Thank You.
