Hopefuly someone takes a punt on Caldwell for maybe £500,000-£1million to get him in before the Summer. Would also let McManus go if we could bring in around £2-3million for him.

O'Dea's coming back and Loovens is already there. At least 1 more CB is needed. St. Ledger if Strachan doesn't activate the clause and buy him after his loan deal expires.

Would sell Scott Brown if the money was right. Call it around £6-7million?

Except for a few of the players (I think we all know who they are), if a good offer came in and we had a replacement lined up, I'd be happy to let go.

Stick in half decent offer for bougherra. Would LloydsTSB turn down the money?
Also leon best, the korean boy, likewise the japanese.(excuse my eurocentric ignorance.
Would punt anyone if decent money was offered - it's all relative.
Would prefer some movement early in jan, can't stand the usual fucking brinksmanship.

Just forgot we've already got that Ki-Sung Yong (sp) lad coming in, in January. Looking forward to see what he has to offer.

Just out of interest in your opinion, who goes and who needs to improve to avoid the heave ?

Firstly, as I have repeatedly stated the existing squad is still far and away the best in Scotland, but there is a lot of deadwood and a obvious lack of direction from the coaching staff.
I also dont see much money being freed up to spend in January especially when you consider we are already commited to spending 2 million on Ki Sung, so firstly he will need to know exactly who is coming in before he can shift players out.

But I would still let every agent know that the likes of Naylor, Wilson, Flood, Koki, McCourt, Caldwell along with every reserve/squad player over 21 who has not at least featured regularly in the first team squad are available for free and get shot of them asap.
Any player over 21 at celtic park who cant get into this team never will and as soon as we get shot of this pile of shit we can start from scratch.

Definitely the way to run a football club. Let players we can get a transfer fee for leave on a free. Only David Murray could run a club worse than you.

it would cost more to keep these ****s and pay their salary than we could get for them, remember bobo?
Theirs not one amongst them who anyone will pay decent money for so just cut them loose and use their wages for new players.

That almost makes as much financial sense as signing Tore Andre Flo for £12 million.

You cant just cut somene loose - their contracts might not be worth the paper they are written in when it suits them but if we wanted rid then I dont see any of them going quietly.

You have to remember though div that the player also has to be willing to go - you were the one who brought up bobo - saving factor here is that none of these players except perhaps the likes of Caldwell and possibly Naylor would be on the kind of money that it is worth sitting on their arses for - they are the ones we need to be careful with - so the rest should be sold on - making even a minimal amount has to be the way forward - the club needs to show that they wont be held to ransom again

After a frank discussion with a fellow Tim we struggled to come up with anyone from the starting 11 currently plying their trade at Paradise that we would hypothetically play if we were the gaffer. We decided that Boruc( although an asset that could fetch a sizeable transfer fee), Hinkel, Fox(his defending is not great and he certainly isn't the set piece master taker he was built up to be, although he is good at getting forward and plays ok further up the wing) N'Guemo(if he can recapture early season form and drive) and Mc Geady (on his day) would all be safe enough. Other players would be Robson who I personally rate as a very good player and Mc Court and Mc Ginn, who whilst obviously talented may not be first team starters.Loovens and Wilson are good as cover but I dont know if they make the grade. Apart from 5/6 members of the squad the rest should be ready for the chop. Mogga was right when he told them all to start player for their Parkhead careers.

Malonye and Brown have lost their drive and certainly if any EPL team were to bid 7mil for Broony then we should snap it up without a thought. Killen, Flood, Naylor and Crosas should all be kicked out the door with the biggest possible boot up the arse imaginable!

Heid simply doesn't want to be at Celtic any longer, his recent performances are as bad as his attitude. Mick should have been gone in the summer and has shown that Mogga was wrong to give him a reprieve. The fact that he is attracting interest from the Championship shows how bad he is for a central defender with European experience. I think any club willing to pay 2mil for him are crazy!

Fortune was a disaster and was rightfully booed on Sunday. 3.8 mil is steep for someone with a 1/5 goal ratio. Mc Donald and Sammy are no world beaters either and I would certainly not hesitate to move them on.

It will be interesting to see who will come in in January. At least 4 players are needed. So far some of the players linked have been worrying. Leon Best??? Has anyone seen how badly he plays at international level?

On a more positive note Chavez and the Japanese right back we have been linked with seem promising, as does Korean star Ki Soon. Yet we have heard rave reviews about Asians before that have fell well short of the mark (Du Wei and Mizuno anyone????).

Sol Campbell is a bit old but he would defo bring in some much needed experience, although he would probably exit Parkhead when he realises we aren't going to get Kaka, Di Maria, Augerro or Hamsik!

I think Leon Best is shite and certainly no George. He has the most ironic name in football at the moment. The fact we are chasing a second rate Coventary player who is available on a free in a few weeks shows the lack of ambition prevailling at the minute. Would Leon Best bring the masses back to Paradise? I doubt it!

Would be a massive fan of St Ledger pulling on the Hoops. A lot of eyebrows were raised when Trap first started using him but I think he has shown his inclusion was on merit. Unfortunately it is likely Chesney will snap him up first.

The Robbie Keane link is one I wish were believeable but I think it is unfathomable if I'm honest. He is the calibre of striker we need up front and certainly wouldnt have choked when a shot was on like that other arsehole Fortune did on Sunday! He would certainly bring the fans back through the turmstiles.

It is ironic that this team has a considerable number of honours to its credit, yet this season and last has been the worst Celtic team in living memory. This is in the context of playing second fiddle to the worst and poorest Hun team in living memory! Remember the days of Pierre, Di Canio, Jorge Cadette, Thom, Larsson, Sutton, Petrov?? All a distant memory now!!!!!!!!!!
