Can't remember a transfer window when robbie keane WASN'T linked to celtic.
I'm afraid there'll be a few more before it's a realistic possibility.

There were a few issues with Bobo not leaving, the main one being that Celtic wanted a fee and no club would pay it AND match his salary.
If Celtic had let him go for free, he would have got a deal he was happy with and left 18 months before he did and we would have been 2 million better off.
Most of the players I mentioned are not going to attract a fee and allow a club to match their expectations of contract.
Naylor is out of contract at the summer
Wilson is injury prone and no one will pay a fee and match his wages with his record
Flood will only be of interest to other spl clubs or lower league english clubs and again a fee and matching salary is not likely
Koki I would imagine would want to go home to Japan
McCourt like Wilson a career blighted with injury and false promises and not likely someone will take a chance parting with money for him
Caldwell also out of contract in the summer and us letting him go will be less than what we pay him from now to the end of the season.
These guys and others like them are wasting their time at Celtic park and even the combined salaries being used for 1 or 2 better quality players is money better spent.
If we dont clear out as much of the dead wood as soon as possible we will have the place filled with players wandering about not giving a flying fcuk.
We will see what January brings, IF Celtic get buyers for the above mentioned players I will be the first to say I was wrong, but I suspect most of these guys will iether, leave for fuk all, or still be hanging about to the end of the season being paid wages that could be used elsewhere and not seeing the first team unless an unseen situation arises.
Realistically..............
Two Centre backs gone.......get o dea back.........buy one decent CB
Keep the keepers
Keep all our midfielders, but get rid of willo flood
fortune......gone......bring in a proven goal scorer.......maybe kris boyd
I'd keep hinkel, fox, wilson and even naylor
Try bring in a Centre mid who can pass the ball with a shred of creativity
you lot are giving the whole team away in one transfer window.....will never happen.
Nothing been mentioned about any of the players at Ujpest Doza, is that not the reason Mcstay took over as manager and by now he will have had time to suss out if any of them look decent?
Celtic are weighing up a Bosman move for Brazilian striker Ilan Araujo Dall’Igna.
Capped three times by Brazil, Ilan — as he is more commonly known — is out of contract next summer. And Sportsmail understands Celtic scouts have developed a keen interest in the St Etienne player.
The 29-year-old is rated in the £4million bracket after five years in French football.
Work-permit restrictions would pose few problems because the former Atletico Paranaense and Sochaux striker has an Italian passport.
Weighing up his options: Mowbray
A key contributor to the St Etienne team which reached the last 16 of last season’s UEFA Cup, Ilan could be made available in January when Parkhead manager Tony Mowbray hopes to begin a major rebuilding job on his stuttering team. However, much will depend on outgoings from Glasgow’s east end. Sportsmail also understands that a cash injection from the Celtic board remains unlikely.
Hammered by their failure to reach the Champions League group stage and diminished ticket sales, the club remains limited to value-for-money signings amidst fears levels of debt could rise again next year.
Celtic are believed to be willing to listen to offers for most of their first-team performers in a quest to provide funds for Mowbray.
Honduran defender Osman Chavez was lined up to play in a bounce game against Roy Keane’s Ipswich.
The Platense centre-half, who has also attracted interest from Tottenham and Blackburn, is viewed as a potential January loan signing, with a view to a possible £1.5m permanent deal.
Midfielder Scott Brown, meanwhile, has travelled to Holland in an effort to resolve his persistent ankle problems. Specialist Niek van Dijk has been charged with identifying the cause, as the Scotland international is no closer to a comeback.
Mowbray is hopeful of welcoming back Zheng Zhi and Paddy McCourt for Saturday’s SPL game against St Mirren.
‘Zheng missed out at Dundee United due to illness but he should be OK for Saturday,’ Mowbray told the Celtic View. ‘Paddy had picked up a slight knock, too. We expect him to be fine but we will know more as the week progresses.’

I can't smoke cos I'm inside..but it's still raining..and I get a free paper towel to dry my £500 quid seat...lucky me.
A few of Mc Stays charges sounded positive enough, so it will be interesting to see if they finally made the grade after trails. While they might be good I still struggle to see how any Upjest players would, in the short term at least, bring fans back to Paradise.
At least Ki Song Yung is making the right noises and he could perhaps be the catalyst needed to play good attacking football and getting the results needed to take fans back. Dont compare me to Naka I'm more like Gerrard!lol You have to love his attitude and if he is anywhere remotely near the standard of Gerrard we should be hailing him as the messiah!
Chavez and Ilan seem good players, by SPL standards any way, and would be commodities in European football, not that we will have to worry about that for much longer. The problem is of course that they may not join to the summer when the title race is over and we could unfortunately judging by recent displays find ourselves without CL Football again! Hopefully we can stave off competition from EPL teams for Chavez, and ideally take him on loan in January. I think a CB is a priority, and the imperative for getting one in in January can not be underestimated. In fact I would stretch as far as to say our season depends on it.
Yes we may take a long term view and secure Bosman signatures in January, but I think we need to strengthen the squad in January so new players can have an immediate impact. We have all spoke on the dire state of the squad but I think we have all accepted that its not going to be wholly dismantled in January and the problem solved in one transfer window. Realistically I think we should be aiming to take in at least 4 new players in January. This may seem quixotic but considering that Ki Song Yung is on the verge of signing and the possibility of a Chavez loan deal, this only means two more players. These could be funded quite easily be getting rid of 4-6 dead wood players in January. Selling Mark Brown to Killie on a permananet basis, Samaras, Killen, Flood, cashing in on Heid, Mick and Brown or Maloney would easily generate enough funds for at least 2 decent signings. Some might argue this would leave us depleted at the back but we would still have Loovens, Chavez(hopefully on loan!) and O Dea (recalled from Reading) battling it out.
