    A letter to Celtic Fans

    Some Celtic fans are guilty of short sight sighted behaviour that could leave us trailing Rangers for a good few years. Lets write this season off, it's gone. BUT let’s look at the bigger picture, we have a team in progress a couple of defenders and a pre season and we can come back strong next year.

    If we give the manager the marching orders then we have another guy in with his ideas another reshaping and most likely another title would pass us by.

    Celtic fans that have started this Rangers-esk "we deserve better" campaign are idiots. Who are they aiming that phrase at? The board? Can't be, this is the board that backed major changes in January after all. Is it directed at Mowbray? The man who inherited a severely average team and a below par defence, who then overseen the changes we all were so desperate to see. Most of the players he has brought in I have been impressed with ; N'Guemo, Kamara, Rassmusen, Fortune, Ki and Braafhied although he had a stinker at Pittodre. It is worth noting the defence that let him down at Aberdeen had only one of his signings present.

    It’s testing times to be a Celtic fan after being spoiled with league titles and right now a lot of fans are failing the test. Maybe it should be Tony Mowbray that holds a “we deserve better” banner aloft.

    Like the rest of you I sit and seethe at some of the results we have been getting and it is easy to give out a knee jerk reaction of which I am also guilty but the bigger picture has to come into play and I firmly believe Mowbray will come good if given the proper backing by the support.

    So let’s rally behind him for we are Celtic supporters faithful through and through......aren’t we?

    Absolute nonsense RB!

    On one hand you say it's the future because he's building a team and they need time to gel, then next you say it wasn't his new signings that were at fault for the goals last Saturday? Who's fault was it then?

    Starting line up:

    Boruc
    Caddis
    O'Dea
    Thompson
    Braafheid
    McGeady
    N'Guemo
    Brown
    Kamara
    Keane
    Fortune

    If that team cannot be coached in to beating Aberdeen then something is seriously wrong.

    Strachan: First season- SPL Champions
    MON: First season- SPL Champions.

    Why the fuck should we expect anything less?

    What gives you the credibility to say Mowbray will come good? Show me this tactical genius you have spotted that is going to make it all better next season.
    Don't tell me, Scott Brown really is a left back?

    You've been impressed with Rassmusen? What, after 1 hour of football? That's superb. How did you rate Larsson after his first hour of football I wonder?

    And to call genuine Celtic fans 'Hunnish', people that have been through the really bad times is down right insulting. Giruy

    If you don't like others opinions, ban them.

    Nothing you have posted gives anybody any real hope, it's just hearsay and blind faith.

    We deserve better.
    Get rid!
    It's the silly season again

    I have a few issues with this post mate!!!

    Firstly impressive players ;

    N'Guemo, Kamara and Braheid are ON LOAN which means we have to stump up cash to buy them .... cash that we should be using to strengthen the other weaker areas of the team, never mind the fact that Braheid and N'Guemo could both have good World Cups and have their choice of teams, just like Samaras thought he would when we loaned him from Man City. But as no-one came in for him he joined us.

    Below par defence ;

    Didn't said below par defence have the best defensive record in the SPL season 2007-08 when the Huns had 8M Cuellar in their ranks?. Didn't the below par defence contain the player's player of the year 2008-09?

    Mowbray will come good;

    As SD said where do you get the evidence that we will be a force next season? From the loan singings (as mentioned) or from the marvellous tactical genius of bringing on Samaras to 'defend' free-kicks when he had two defenders on the bench. IMO that was a wee white lie that TM told after the game to cover his ass
    "If we give the manager the marching orders then we have another guy in with his ideas another reshaping and most likely another title would pass us by." IMO keeping this guy in place will result in us watching another party at Ibrox in May 2011.

    Ranger-esk and idiots;

    I'm sorry mate I think you are entitled to your opinion and I wouldn't try and sway you from that but don't call me Rangers-esk and an idiot just because I can open my eyes and see what's happening in front of me! Where do you think you have the right to make such sweeping statements? I haven't called Rosco or Freedom an idiot on this forum for having different opinions and I think you should have the 'dignity' (or is that Ranger-esk) to put your opinions across without trying to be so overly dramatic and scathing of others.

    Is it possible for you to type anything remotely different to that? In every thread I see, even if it's not relating to the conversation, you seem to just pop in with that. I really do expect to go into the Music thread soon and see you've copied and pasted it there too.

    As much as I want to agree with you I find it's much easier to say than it is to display at games. I stood by Mowbray from the start but I'm finding it increasingly more difficult with every passing game. He better hope he gets at leats 1 Old Firm win under his belt before the end of the season.

    I know its crap to base this on one decision, but the taking Keene off for Samaras on Saturday, just proved that the guy is not in control of the team or his senses. He has to go. The sooner the better.

    Agree about the 'we deserve better' campaign. Too much like the 'we arra peepil' pish that the huns come away with. And it's definetely directed at mowbray. If the object is to get him to walk who is the alternative?
    If they get a new guy in and the results aren't immediately better it'll be 'we deserve better than this **** an all'.
    What if the huns slip up and the deficit is reduced, will it still be 'sack the manager before the old firm games and get in avram grant or archie fucking knox because they can't do worse than mowbray?'
