Gianfranco Zola a new option for Celtic Board

Gianfranco Zola was today relieved of his duties as West Ham boss after falling out with the new clubs owners who had made it known in recent times that they didn't want the little Italian.

With this news he is surely to be linked or perhaps looked at by the Celtic board as another viable option as he would more than likely come with Steven Clarke whose stock down south is very high.

With Celtic only officially saying yesterday that the search was underway, Zola who would now not command any sort of fee might be too good to turn down.

Didn't really see much from him which would suggest he'd be any better an option than we thought Mowbray would be. Too much of a gamble IMO.

    No to Zola

Pedigree or not, Zola does not have the Celtic heart required. Lennon has that heart.

stevie clarks stock aint as high as you think.have heard numerous times on talksport he is basically just a ball carrier who is not involved in much of the coaching or tactical side.dont think zola is the right man either tbh.

not sure how id feel about zola , west ham have had a terrible season . it may not have been all his fault , i dont know the details , but he didnt set the premiership alight. big gamble imo , id rather lenny than that tbh.

To be honest, i'd have rather stuck with Mowbray if we are considering Zola.

Hes not Celtic class, his tactics at best are the same as his player choice........MINCE!!!!

He couldnae manage a fish supper as my mate would say......lol

    Lenny - Zola

Whats the difference experince wise ?

    Nothing

If this is Lennons competition he shouldn't be too worried

Would be far too much of a gamble, even if clarke was included.
We'd be back to the old scenario of 'give them a season to settle in to the spl'.

Gotta be a scot or a lenny.

Personaly this time around for season ticket renewals I wont be doing anything until or future is decided! If zola is appointed as our next manager or any1 of this ilk then I can say 100% that I wont be renewing.
I rekon the board wer scared off by lennon, when he blasted the team and said there was major surgery required to sort it out!

WE DONT NEED ANOTHER YES MAN!!!

GIVE US A MASSIVE NAME, OR LENNY!!!!! WE SHOULDNT EVEN BE LOOKING AT OR CONSIDERING ZOLA!!

THERE IS ONLY 3 NAMES I'D TAKE BEFORE LENNY

1.HODGSON - HE'LL BE IN FAR TOO HIGH DEMAND NOW SO THERE IS ALMOST NO CHANCE.

2.MARK HUGHES- A GOOD MANAGER AND REALISTICALLY WE COULD ATTRACT HIM, HOWEVER WAGES WOULD MAYBE HAMPER THAT.

3.O'NEIL- ALOT OF PEOPLE THINK IT IS TOO FAR FETCHED, BUT ONEIL IS SHREWED ENOUGH AND KNOWS THAT RANGERS ARE IN THE MYRE AND WE COULD AFFORD HIM A FEW MILLION TO GET A WINNING TEAM AGAIN.THIS WOULD BE PERFECT FOR HIM I REKON..I THINK THERE IS STILL A SMALL CHANCE.

IF NEITHER OF THESE GUYS GET THE JOB THEN I DONT WANT TO KNOW,..IT HAS TO BE LENNY THEN!!
